Educational Mind Shaping

Most of us have known for a long time that if you reach children at a young age you can shape their thinking for life. And if you succeed in shaping their thinking, you will also shape their actions. What we as human beings eventually do starts as a thought in our minds ! The liberals have capitalized on this in our society, and the vehicle they have chosen to use for this is the educational system. In Canada, in the early days, the school system was the product of faith based institutions. Gradually, because of the overwhelming costs, the churches turned this over to the public governmental sector. When that occurred, those of us with conservative social values lost most of our influence on our children’s  education.

Immersed in the Liberal Mindset

Several generations of young people have now been immersed in their educator’s liberal mindset . The terrible outcome is that we have now allowed a liberal elite to shape the values of our children. As a result our society has moved from a world view based on seeking the common good to one based on self centred individualism. It is a belief system, in which people demand that their personal interests be satisfied above all else. This view has stifled free speech on our educational campuses, and we are being forced to conform to the liberal mindset of the ruling class. It is a view that has introduced extremely liberal views about sex education to our children at the earliest ages. Sadly, they are now being taught that they can select their own gender, have relationships with either sex and freely consume the pornography presented on the websites of provincial ministries of education across the land. This view ignores the belief in a Creator and focuses on humankind as the be all and end all of everything.

How Can We Turn it Around?

How can we turn this around? How do we stop this attempt by the state to take over our children’s lives and ignore parental rights? Some parents have simply removed their children from the public school system. There has been a huge growth in home schooling, an option wherein parents still have control. Others have placed their children in private schools at considerable financial sacrifice. But even in the face of these alternatives, liberals have not given up the quest for complete control of our children. They are relentless and determined. They want a society in which only their values and beliefs are tolerated. And so they have petitioned government to stop the funding of private education.

We Must Resist

We must resist this at every turn. Let your government leaders know what you think of this. If we are silent they will take it to mean that we, and the public at large, accept their actions. Urge parents to put their children into private education where they can have input and parental control. Don’t give in to this ! In our lifetimes we have seen the result of state control of minds, beliefs and actions by governments such as those of Stalinist Russia and Maoist China. Don’t allow it to happen here in the nation we love. Speak out and do something about it !

I believe BC the government funds private schools at 50% the cost per student in the public system. This includes NO money’s for capital expenditures. This is a HUGE financial WIN for the BC government however, IMO most left wingers would rather shoot themselves in the foot financially in order to be able to brain wash every child in the public system. You are correct, the pressure is on and if we do end up with a liberal minority government or an NDP Green coalition, I predict their extreme left wing ideology will cause them to cancel the 50% funding for private school students. After all, left wing extremism seems to know no bounds and their socialist end justifies all means in their attempts to turn everyone into left wing clones of themselves.

You are correct of course Hal about the 50% government support at the moment. I wrote to the leaders of all parties before the election to solicit their support for private education. The Greens would try to enfold the private schools into the public system and continue support that way. The NDP would just outright stop the funding of all private education. They of course continue to enlist the support of the BCTU and the teachers’ vote. We must let them know how we feel!

A totalitarian state cannot tolerate private schools nor home schooling. When both of those disappear, it will be the dead canary in the coal mine. There is another agency of government that deserves mention here too. The Ministry of Children and Families, which in the guise of protecting children from parental abuse, is also protecting children from firm and reasonable guidance. To have a child removed from parental care simply because Mom or Dad was seen swatting them on the bum to put an end to a temper tantrum in a supermarket parking lot is monstrous. Children know that they can push the envelope because the Ministry of Children and Families is standing over their shoulders, and there are a myriad of social justice busybodies ready to rat out their parents on the slightest pretext. As a result, I see children swearing at lifeguards, abusing theatre ushers, teachers, school janitors and lifeguards and acting out on BC Ferries. All with impunity. The same children who now have liberty to defile their bodies with ear, tongue and lip piercings and hideous tattoos before they even reach puberty. It is out of control. And then there is sexual reassignment surgery and hormone therapy dispensed by medical doctors. All in aid of enabling a mental disorder. This is the paradise that decades of Cultural Marxism have brought us too.

It is very ignorant of you to say that parents must be able to choose between homeschooling or private school. Many people cannot afford private school for their children, nor can they afford to stay home from work in order to home school their kids. This is especially relevant for single parents, but applies to families as well. It is a nice idea, but is simply not affordable for many families.

Please re-read this blog. It never says that parents must be able to choose between homeschooling and private school. It says that some people have chosen home schooling for their children, and that others have opted to put their children in private schools even though it is very expense, not that they have had to choose between them. Of course, everyone is aware that private schools are expensive, and that many people cannot afford them. Also, it is self evident that some people cannot afford to stay home. Both parents must work just to make it, and one cannot afford to stay home. We understand that.

But if funding is removed from private education, some less elite private schools and those that are just surviving financially, will be forced to close. That removes the option of sending their kids to these mid level private schools for those who can afford it. Many people, because of finances, must send their children to public schools. But if public funding does not, in some way, support struggling private schools and they collapse an entire tier of education disappears.

Parents and their children must have the right to choose alternatives, and that can only happen if private institutions are not driven out of the educational arena.

The intention of these blogs is not to spread ignorance but to enlighten people about things that they may not know are going on in our society. A free society must have choices in it for people. If choices are removed, society becomes less free. That is what is happening in Canada today as the liberal elitist move to shut down any opposition to their views.

I agree completely. We are now in a struggle to maintain our fundamental freedoms. Because of this we are honour bound to let people know what is occurring around them.
