Welcome to Freedom Defence Canada
If you attended our first public meeting in Parksville, where we still went under the name Social Conservatives United, you know about the aims and principles of FDC. To avoid any confusion that we are a new political party, we have changed our name to better reflect what our Statement of Purpose is:
The purpose of Freedom Defence Canada is to defend and promote traditional values on current social issues. We will equip others to counteract the prevailing liberal ideology which intrudes upon our basic rights and freedoms. We willempower social conservatives through support and communication to have an effective voice in the public arena.
Many of us today feel powerless in the face of the sweeping tide of liberal ideas and actions which is invading all aspects of our lives. From no protection for the unborn, liberal sex ed curriculums being forced upon our children, the silly gender equity laws, the lawsuits against Christian and other faith based organization who do not conform to the liberal norm, to many other issues, we need to be strong in the face of it.
Freedom Defence Canada was formed by a group of Canadians who said to each other “Let’s stop complaining about the way things are and start doing something about it.” That is why we formed FDC here on Vancouver Island. We want to let people of like mind see that they are not alone and together we can do much more than if we try to do it separately. What we have found since we started FDC, is that we are not alone in Canada. There are similar groups starting up all across the country. We want to network with them and bring to you the best of what we do to mutually support each other.
Will you join us in this fight against liberal, so called progressive ideology? We need your support to do this work together. Many of you are already signed up members. If you have not yet become a member, please do that. There is information in this newsletter which will help you do that.
We need to be engaged in this work for the sake of our children and our grandchildren. What kind of Canada will we leave them if we don’t do something to stem the tide? I shudder to think of what that might look like if we just remain silent.
I hope you will join us here at FDC.
Yours on behalf of the board of directors,
Reed Elley
Chair
I can’t tell you how proud I am to be part of this great organization, dedicated to free speech and the preservation of the Canadian way of life. You can count on me to support the important work you are doing in any way possible. May we grow and prosper.
Just curious which gender equity laws you are referring to here? The ones with transsexuals or women?
